A delegation of students and youth representatives from Voice of GB, who recently received training in various fields under NAVTTC, met with the Commissioner of Gilgit Division, Sardar Asad Haroon.
The Commissioner warmly welcomed the delegation to his office and congratulated them on successfully completing their training. He emphasized that youth, especially students, are the backbone and future of the nation. Therefore, they should focus on acquiring education and technical skills to play a positive role in society by promoting peace, development, and brotherhood.
He further stated that anti-national elements are actively trying to mislead and manipulate young people using various tactics to hinder the country’s progress and create unrest. In such a scenario, it is the responsibility of the youth to recognize these harmful forces and protect themselves and others from their misleading narratives so that their malicious objectives are not fulfilled.
To encourage positive activities among youth, the Commissioner announced the establishment of a Divisional Task Force, which will work on fostering youth engagement, providing opportunities, countering false narratives of anti-national elements, and promoting volunteer activities. In the second phase, the scope of this task force will be expanded to the district level.
At the end of the meeting, the Commissioner distributed certificates and books among the delegation members. The students expressed their gratitude for such opportunities and reaffirmed their commitment to making the volunteer force a success.
